“I have very fond memories of racing in the HRSR meetings in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s. It attracted some very well known drivers such as, Gerry Marshall, Tony Lanfranchi, Sir John Whitmore, Mike Crabtree, Les Nash, Peter Baldwin, Rod Birley and George Polley.<\/em><\/p>\n

In 1986\/87 I enjoyed racing my Lotus Cortina and am indebted to Simon Holland for all his help in building and race preparing it and thanks go to Trevor Humphrey and Melvyn Johnson at Meltune for all their help and advice.<\/em><\/p>\n

From 1988 to the mid 90\u2019s I got the chance to race an Anglia, a Mustang, a Mini Cooper S and a Fiat Abarth 850TC and I am extremely grateful to Steve Warrior and Tony Castle-Miller for letting me loose in their lovely cars.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The best thing about the HRSR is the clean driving and the friendly atmosphere on and off the track.<\/em><\/p>\n

I must say a big thank you for the hard work done by James Nairn and Alan Jones from the HSCC in helping raise the profile of this great series. There are loads of eligible cars out there, so lets all spread the word to swell the grids again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
