Message from Jim Nairn (HSCC) (Sep 2025 ) – Silverstone Meeting 11th & 12th October 2025

Unbelievably we are less that 3 weeks away from the final event of the refreshed HSCC Historic Racing Saloons Pre ’66 season on 11th & 12th October at Silverstone – entries are building steadily and I hope you will consider joining us for the final HSCC Saloon event of the season. If you are not a member of HSCC simply call Donna (in the HSCC Office) 01327 858400 and she will make the entry process really easy for you. If you are not racing let me know and I will try to sort event passes for you.

On Saturday the format will be two x20min races over 2 days. Race 1 will be the ’Twilight Spectacular’ scheduled to start at 17.30 as the sun is starting to set and continuing for 20 minutes (so please ensure you have working lights). This will be an Historic Saloons pre ’66 race combined with Historic Roadsport (cars from the 1960s) and 70s Road Sports and should provide a lot of creative opportunities for the photographers. Followed by drinks and snacks in Garage 10 and a Drivers Meeting for Historic Saloon pre ’66 competitors to talk about plans and events for 2026. (NB: the time of the drivers meeting will be confirmed on Saturday)

On Sunday the Historic Saloons pre ’66 and Historic Roadsport will be racing together at 9.35 – 9.55. then all return to Garage 10 for the presentation of trophies and probably more cake.
